In this day of the Internet one can never be surprised when something comes your way. Chat rooms have been created for the sole purpose of meeting other people. Singles rooms and gay rooms seem to abound. Little did I know when this medium came about that my life would change.

One evening I received a blind instant message from a screen name that I saw in the M4M room that I was frequenting.

Me4U: yea...nothing much happenin here......what's up
Sc484: seen ya in here before .... just wanted to say hi...ur profile says we are in the same area...I'm in smalltown.....u?
Me4U: me too.....let me check your profile...ok?
Sc484: cool....but I can tell you about me if that is ok....
Me4U: yea...just checked...ur still in HS, huh?
Sc484: yep...I am.....gay here...u?
Me4U: yes...for sure, but if youre in HS...may be a bit too old for you.... I have a kid in HS around here myself.....at ST high......do you go there?
